Challenge

A fashion company relies on the open source language R for data analysis. To achieve high performance and reliability, the company commissioned an external service provider to set up a suitable analytics infrastructure. After the implementation, it became apparent that the new infrastructure did not meet the requirements for productive operation of the analytics.

Solution

The fashion company chose eoda's data science specialists to analyze and optimize its existing infrastructure. eoda's experienced solution architects worked on-site at the customer's site to gain a detailed understanding of the existing IT environment. Based on these findings, eoda developed an action plan for improving the analytics environment and subsequently implemented the roadmap outlined therein.

eoda supported the customer with, among other measures:

  • Connecting an RStudio server with SAP HANA
  • Setting up an SAP HANA R integration
  • Implementing Active Directory authentication

To ensure the reliable operation of the IT environment, eoda is available as a support partner for any questions or problems that may arise. In close consultation with the customer's responsible parties, eoda is also developing a plan for the further expansion of the infrastructure. Future plans include the implementation of a local CRAN repository and the implementation of a continuous integration system.
